Upon entering Acadia we again noted that we have come to vacation in this part of the world far earlier than anyone else. Summer has not arrived in Maine, or really spring for that matter.
We had two days to rest in Acadia, the first we spent in a coffee shop in Bar Harbor with a pounding rainstorm outside dinking medically unsafe amounts of coffee, playing cards, and freeloading use of a toaster and bathroom. We had a hard time getting motivated to leave so we waited until dark to make the 15k hill climb back to our nylon abode. This all corrosponded nicely with hail falling.
Racoons broke into our food bags. At least there weren't any other campers around to witness me wielding a rock (in my underwear) and babbling death threats to the local woodland animals.
Our second day was sunny so we dried it all out greased it all up and did the tour around the park. Ferry tomorrow.
